Murat Kanaatlı is one of Istanbul's well-known hair designers and educators. His own approach to modern bridal hair, professional updo techniques and stage hair design has made his name a brand in its own right within the industry.
His bridal work in particular carries a signature style. He brings classic and modern lines together with an artistic eye, creating a personal design for every bride.
TARA Academy.
TARA Academy, which he founded in Istanbul, is more than a salon: it is a hair design academy where professionals from Türkiye and abroad come to train. Using techniques he has developed, Kanaatlı teaches hairdressers international updo and hair design courses.
He takes part in international events, stage work and training programmes. His aim is to grow TARA Academy into an education brand with a worldwide reach.
With Ixvéne.
Before its launch, Ixvéne was tested in the salon for months. The second trial period, lasting three to four months, took place at Murat Kanaatlı's academy. Today Kanaatlı is the face of Ixvéne.
