Five criteria for choosing a hair care set for your salon
If a professional hair care set is to become a lasting service in your salon, it should give a clear answer on five points: it should be built for salon use, fit into a session, have confirmed suitability for the hair it will be used on, come with clearly defined equipment, and have refills that arrive regularly. The order below is the order of the questions to ask your supplier before you buy.
- Salon useIs the set built around a professional salon workflow?
- Session timeDo the steps and the waiting time fit into your appointment schedule?
- Hair typeIs it clearly confirmed which hair it can be used on?
- EquipmentWhich devices are needed for the airbrush and heat steps?
- SupplyHow do refill boxes and bulk orders work?

Is the set designed for salon use?
The set you choose as a hairdresser should not be a scaled-up version of a retail product, but a system built with the salon workflow in mind. The Ixvéne 48-piece Ceramic Care Set was designed for professional salons: one airbrush application device, a 12-piece main box and three 12-piece refill boxes come as a single concept. A total of 48 ceramic kits are brought together in one set.
Two signs tell you whether a set has been built for salons. The first is that the application has a repeatable sequence that can join your service menu by name. At Ixvéne, this sequence is the four-step ritual: cleanse, dry, application and heat mask. The second is that the set is planned to be applied by professional hands. Ixvéne describes itself as a new-generation care system rather than a product: in other words, a service.
Ixvéne was developed for professional salons. Individual purchases only through our online shop; salon owners and professional hairdressers also have dedicated packages and distributorship. This distinction protects the position of the same ritual as a service in your salon.
Does the application fit into a single session?
To plan your sessions, the steps and waiting time of the set must be clearly written down. The Ixvéne ritual has four steps, with a 15-minute waiting time after the last step. The time for cleansing, drying and the heat mask depends on the length of the hair; calculate the total time based on your own drying and flat-iron pace.
- CleanseHair is washed with a clarifying shampoo. No conditioner is applied; the hair is simply rinsed with plenty of water.
- DryHair is combed and dried completely. Meanwhile, the ceramic care is placed in the device.
- ApplicationThe ceramic care is applied with the spray technique for even distribution through the hair.
- Heat maskThe ceramic care is sealed in with heat, in thick sections, with a 180 °C ceramic flat iron; followed by a 15-minute waiting time.
The only fixed time in your appointment schedule is the 15-minute wait. The other three steps rely on the washing, drying and flat-iron work your team does every day, so the soundest approach is to measure your own time over the first few applications and list the service on your menu with that time. Two rules directly affect the time: no conditioner is used, and the hair is dried completely. Towel-drying is not enough. A visual walkthrough of the steps is on the Ritual page.
Which hair types can it be used on?
Before choosing a set, get clear confirmation from your supplier on which hair types it can be used on. At Ixvéne, the conditions of the ritual are clear: the hair is washed with a clarifying shampoo, rinsed without conditioner and dried completely. We recommend discussing suitability for the hair profile in your salon, such as coloured, very fine or very coarse hair, with the team during your salon enquiry.
At Ixvéne, the intended result is shine and softness, together. The spray technique ensures that the ceramic care is distributed evenly through all of the hair, not just part of it; Ixvéne puts this as "the same care for every strand".
In the last step of the ritual, the hair is passed with 180 °C heat in thick sections. For clients who are careful about heat styling, talk to your client before applying this step. For examples of results, see the before and after comparison in the Shop; images are illustrative.
Does it work with salon equipment such as heat tools and airbrush?
Clarify from the start which equipment comes with the set and which your salon must provide. At Ixvéne, the airbrush application device is included in the set as a gift; it is rechargeable, cordless and works with a chrome-tipped airbrush pen. For the heat mask step, a ceramic flat iron set to 180 °C is used; this flat iron is not part of the set.
The ceramic care, in its gold-capped bottle, is placed directly into the airbrush application device. The black main box has its own cradle for the device; the bottles sit two on either side of the cradle in the top row, with eight in the bottom row. Because the device is cordless, you are not tied to the position of a power socket around the chair during the application.
The only equipment you need to check in your salon is a ceramic flat iron whose temperature can be set to 180 °C. To see the contents of the set in detail, see the Set page.
How do supply and refill boxes work?
Whether a set provides continuity in the salon depends on how easily its refills can be obtained. The Ixvéne 48-piece set comes with three 12-piece Refill Box Ceramic Care Sets alongside the main box; when the main box runs out, the ritual continues without pause. For salons that already have the device, the 12-piece refill box can also be ordered on its own.
Pre-order packages of 10, 20, 50 and 100 sets are available for hairdressers and salons. 10 sets are intended for a single salon or a small team, 20 sets for salons working with several chairs, 50 sets for multi-branch salons and high-volume service, and 100 sets for salon chains and regional distribution. Salon pricing depends on package and region; choose your package and apply, and we reply with pricing and delivery details.
