What is ceramic hair care?
Ceramic hair care is a salon ritual in which ceramic care is applied with the airbrush device to hair that has been washed and dried completely, then sealed in with heat using a 180 °C ceramic flat iron. At Ixvéne, this ritual consists of four steps and is completed with a 15-minute waiting time. The aim is shine and softness, together.
Ixvéne (written Ixvene without the accent) is the ceramic hair care brand of Mediko Türk and was developed for professional salons. Its founder, Önder Göçmen, worked as a hairdresser for many years before creating Ixvéne as a hair ceramic product suited to his own profession.
How is ceramic hair care applied in the salon?
The application has four steps: the hair is washed with a clarifying shampoo and simply rinsed with plenty of water, combed and dried completely, the ceramic care is applied with the airbrush device, and finally thick sections are passed with a 180 °C ceramic flat iron. This is followed by a 15-minute wait. The order of the steps never changes; each one prepares the ground for the next.
- CleanseHair is washed with a clarifying shampoo. No conditioner is applied; the hair is simply rinsed with plenty of water.
- DryHair is combed and dried completely. Towel-drying is not enough.
- ApplicationThe ceramic care is placed in the airbrush application device and applied to the hair with the spray technique for even distribution.
- Heat maskThe ceramic care is sealed in with heat, in thick sections, with a 180 °C ceramic flat iron; a 15-minute waiting time completes the treatment.
For a visual walkthrough of the steps, see the Ritual page.
Why is no conditioner used before the application?
No conditioner is applied after the clarifying shampoo, because the ground the ceramic care will hold to is prepared on clean hair that has simply been rinsed with plenty of water. In the Ixvéne ritual, this detail is part of the cleansing step and is never skipped. The hair is then combed and dried completely; the application begins only once the hair is fully dry.
When every team member who offers the ritual in your salon follows these two rules in the same way, the result is achieved with the same sequence for every client.
What does the airbrush device do during the application?
The airbrush application device brings the ceramic care to the hair with a fine spray and distributes it evenly. This way, not just part of the hair but all of it receives the same care. The device is rechargeable, works with a chrome-tipped pen, and the gold-capped bottle fits directly into it. The device is included in the 48-piece set as a gift.
What does the heat mask do?
The heat mask is done so that the hair fully absorbs the ceramic care. The hair is passed in thick sections with a ceramic flat iron set to 180 °C, and the ceramic care is sealed in with heat. A 15-minute waiting time then completes the ritual. The aim of this step is shine and softness, together.

How long does ceramic hair care take?
The fixed time in the ritual is the 15-minute wait after the heat mask. The time needed for cleansing, drying and the heat mask depends on the length and density of the hair. This is why salons measure the total time at their own pace over the first few applications and list the service on their menu with that time.
The step that affects the time most is drying: the application begins only once the hair is fully dry. If the ceramic care is placed in the device while the hair is being dried, the device is ready to spray as soon as the hair is dry.

The airbrush application device is included in the set as a gift. The refill boxes share the design line of the main box, so when the main box runs out, the ritual continues without pause.
